Getting Started

If you were ever told that anyway to make money online is a scam, then you probably are at least a bit worried about these sites that "claim" to pay you or give you prizes/giftcards. You might think that they will steal your identity or install malware on your computer. Well, while those scam sites do exist, the way you can tell whether to use a site or not is if other people are using it. Check the sites facebook page, check people's experiences on google, check any proofs people may have. If a site does not have any of these, it is likely either a scam or very new in start up. Something like"$2 to read one news article"is the tagline for a few sites floating around should raise a red flagThat site would not be able to dish out that much money for reading a brief news article. Period. At the bottom line, if it sounds TOO good to be true, better do your research before typing in any info on their site. If you are skeptical about any of the sites in this page, please do your research, though I will provide proofs, tips and explanations for most of the sites I use! I promise that none of the sites I post are scam sites. (◠‿◠)

So what DO you start with? Well, that depends on what you are looking for or feel like doing with your time. (Yes, in the end the rewards are not really "free" you DO have to work for them, which is why these type of sites are mostly legit.) I will offer two suggests here based on two types of preferences people may have (there are certainly more!)

If you want something that doesn't require a lot of work each day and you can just get updates in your email, try a pure survey site. American Consumer Opinion is a really good one that actually often pays decently for the amount of time you put in. Why do they pay you for completing surveys? Research companies are often looking for public opinion on marketable products, and they know that people are more likely to give them feedback if there is incentive. I've done 20-30 minute surveys for 500 points (which equals $5). This is definitely one of the better, higher paying sites. You also get a bit of incentive for just completing the screeners. They don't flood your inbox everyday either...maybe a few times a week you will get an invite or screener for a survey. You first much cash out by check, then you are able to make cashouts to paypal. They do have a referral program but it requires the person to input your email.

Do you want a wide variety of things to try, something that you can work on all day and don't have to wait for things in your email to show up? Try Points2ShopThis was the first site I actually started with on my beermoney adventures. I was super leery, conjured up all the ways they were going to steal my info and spam my parent's house with unwanted garbage. Thankfully, Points2shop is well set up, you just have to give it a chance, like I did. If your red flag is going up, check out the forum area and go to --> Proofs. This is where members upload all of the prizes or payments they have gotten from the site. There are literally thousands, and the proofs have people's usernames shown in the picture they took of their prize/reward. It would be extraordinarily time consuming for a site looking to scam you to make this all up. The people in the shoutbox are also real members, you can see their levels and conversations that are way too nuanced for even fraudulent minds.

So what does this site offer? They have boundless surveys, site sign ups, videos to watch, coupons to print, ads to click, offers, a referral program (that's really good!), contests hosted by the site and other members, and games. You will always have plenty to do on this site. In my guide, I walk you through exactly how to get your account all set up and ready to go. You will be way ahead of the game and on your way to becoming a real, established member on the site.

So there you have it. Nothing too overwhelming, two sites to start off, one to ease you slowly into the idea of beermoney, or the other to jump you right in. You can certainly have the  best of both worlds too. :)
