Giving Your Personal Info

You may be pausing at the sign up pages of these sites, wondering why they are asking for such personal info, or even the surveys within these sites.

Address: Well, the sites at least need your address in order to send you your rewards. I don't know further details of why they may have to keep it on file, but mainly you can't get your rewards unless they have some place to ship it to.  Possibly also for tax purposes in the few instances that may arise (but the general beermoney maker won't have to worry about that.)

Phone Numbers: Giving out your phone number to beermoney sites should also not  be an issue (if they are the legit ones that is). I have never gotten called by any of the many sites I have signed up to. Sometimes sites use them though as a way to verify your account by sending a text or automated phone call with a code.

Demographic Info: (age, race, gender, sex): Surveys often want your demographic information because they are looking for certain types of people for their research (and if you aren't these certain types of people they often disqualify), hence being asked your income, your age, gender, etc. Be careful if surveys ask for an address or phone nmber, most of the surveys don't ask for them. At most they ask for your zipcode to identify general area.
Social Security: DO NOT throw out your social security number to any offer or just any site if such instance arises. BAD BAD idea. There are a few money making sites that are closer to a job that require a SSN for tax purposes, but that won't be most of the sites presented here. There are a few though that I will mention and I will make it clear which ones are okay to disclose this info to.

TIP: If you ever give out your paypal address, remember to NOT have your paypal password the same as the password you used to sign up for the site. This is an easy trick scam sites like to use to access people's paypal and steal their money.
